Real Madrid 1-1 Atheltic Bilbao:Ronaldo snatches late draw
The hosts managed to pinch a draw when it seemed like they'd slump to a shock defeat.
They struggled to turn their efforts in to goals as they grew more and more frustrated as the game ticked on.
Ronaldo had a good chance blocked whilst Gareth Bale, who came off the bench, knocked it wide from a Marcelo cross.
Real Madrid snatched a point at the Staniago Bernabeu as Inaki Williams' goal was cancelled out by a late Cristiano Ronaldo flick.
Madrid looked like threatening for much of the game but were behind on 14-minutes when Williams lifted a gorgeous dink over the onrushing Kaylor Navas to give Athletic a shock lead.

Bilbao could have made it two with half an hour to go after Cordoba's shot was blocked by Carvajal before the ball broke to Garcia, whose first-time effort rattled against the crossbar.

However, all the pressure finally paid off as they equalised on 87 minutes when the Portuguese flicked in Luka Modric's bobbling shot.
It meant Madrid closed the gap on city rivals Atletico to two-points but they missed the chance to leapfrog them into second.
